Why do the news anchors in the show so clearly represent anchors on morning shows (Morning Joe)? Why is The New York Herald an echo of The New York Times? Why does the fictional president have a picture with Clinton? Why does the snootiness of elite colleges get a jab? Why does the billionaire have a hint of Joe Biden to him?

There are loads of criticisms for liberals in this movie precisely because it IS saying we are all responsible. It’s saying that no one is off the hook.
