It sounds like you and Andrew disagree about whether spiritual circles are politically healthy with a toxic fringe or politically toxic with a healthy fringe. I hope he’s right (and wonder which examples he’d point to beyond Greta Thunberg and the Dalai Lama), but, like you, I’m feeling increasingly disillusioned and am still searching for a community or ideology that has a healthy blend of, say, intellect, spirit, and activism. It’s hard to find.
