What a brilliant series with enormous implications for today's spiritual communities. I'm curious how to thread the space between embracing spiritual practices that improve wellbeing (meditating, reading wisdom texts, journaling, singing sacred music, etc.) while fully accepting that embracing these practices doesn't make anyone superior to anyone else. What does a community that successfully threads this tension look like? (Or is that even a worthwhile question?)
In any case, this whole series is providing so many answers to questions I've had about why spiritual communities from the past never quite sat well with me. I'm learning so much from all of it.
