Such a fantastic list. I recommend related work by Lisa Miller (The Spiritual Child and The Awakened Brain), T.H. Lurmann (When God Talks Back and How God Becomes Real), Michael Ferguson (a neuroscientist who studies neurospirituality), etc.

I'm constantly surprised that no one has *really* furthered William James's project by doing a worldwide survey of spiritual experiences broken into religious and cultural contexts. I can only imagine that such a book would stand the test of time like his has.
