Regarding distribution and promotion: I want to get off of Facebook completely and only use Medium, but my Medium posts only really gain traction if I share them on Facebook, even though I have roughly the same number of friends/followers on each platform. What’s worse, if an article I write on Medium doesn’t get traffic via Facebook, it seems that it’s highly unlikely to get recognized for distribution or promotion from Medium.

I’m a huge fan of Medium (no ads, clean design, thoughtful community) and support it financially, but I’m struggling with getting promotion and distribution using this platform alone. Of course, maybe I’m doing Medium wrong or just need to improve my writing (probably both!). :)
